I have a crush on someone across the U.S from me. I don't know what to do.
So...I like someone who lives on the eastern side of the U.S, while I live on the west. Don't ask how we met; everyone asks that and just completely ignores the question.
We are friends, we call and text a lot, but there is no way to see each other in real life. We both like each other, but.....yeah. I don't know what to do.

When it comes to long-distance relationships, I think the most important thing is that you and the other person both understand your needs. If you're comfortable being long-distance and not seeing each other, a long-distance relationship may work. Some of the challenges of long distance are the lack of physical closeness and the lack of a sexual relationship. Ask yourself, is that a no-go?
Whether or not a long-distance relationship works depends on the people and whether they can fulfill their needs in a healthy way. It's also important to consider how long you will be long-distance: a year, six months, three months, a couple of years? Do you have a good enough foundation to maintain a relationship apart for a long time?

We're dating now. Things are good- I really don't know why I was so worried. Texting can be a bit of an issue, since I get a bit anxious when he doesn't reply for a while, and I really do wish I could see him in real life. Other than that, I can't think of any other issues.
