When to ask this person if they wanna date me?

So, I've known this person for a year, we have an established friendship and know each other fairly well. We've went on one date so far but we've been romantically interested in each other for a good amount of time, I've loved em since I met em sooo yeah. I really would wanna wait until we go on a couple more dates but end of school year is approaching, they're a senior, I don't know when I'm gonna see em again. I know I shouldn't try to rush a relationship because I feel like I'm running out of time, I don't want to, I just have wanted to be with them for so long and wanna be able to say we're together before the year's over and I get to see them a lot less.

It sounds like you're stuck between a rock and a hard place. I get that your friend is graduating soon and you might have to continue the relationship long distance, but that doesn't mean you should give up. If you two truly share a strong bond, it doesn't matter if they leave your hometown to go to university. I wouldn't worry about going on more dates before popping the question; you already have a friendship with this person and have trust established. I would take the leap and ask them how they feel about pursuing a relationship right now. And accept beforehand that they might want to start their freshman year of school as just friends.

Oh! Update we're dating now, I asked them out and they said I ruined their plans to ask me out on prom night later that week lol. Now we've been dating for almost 5 weeks and it's been awesome :) I took the leap and it worked!!!

There isn’t a specific time when you should ask someone if they want to date you—it all depends on your unique situation. If you’ve known this person for a year, have a solid romantic connection with them, and want to make your feelings known before the school year is over, these all seem like good reasons to ask sooner rather than later. Going on a few more dates beforehand can’t hurt, but if you’re already sure of your feelings, it’s alright to just ask!

Should I ask my crush out?
Me and him met at the end of summer and became friends on the first day of school (August 13). We have a lot of classes together and hang out after school too. A lot of our mutual friends want us to be a couple but neither of us comment on it. We’re good friends and I don’t want to damage that, but I also don’t want to keep hiding my feelings. I can’t tell if he likes me the way I like him, or if he’s just really nice to me.

last year in my sophomore year of high school I liked this guy and never had the guts to tell him. and now that we have been friends since then I've had those feeling get stronger. I have the feeling he doesn't like me, and he cares about my safety and I don't want to lose that. And telling him will make things awkward what should I do?
