Are you trying to catch Walleye in Stardew Valley? If you're looking to fill out your Community Center Bundles, you may be wondering just how you catch a Walleye in Stardew Valley. Unfortunately you'll have to wait until Fall to be able to catch Walleyes, but thankfully catching one isn't too difficult once the autumn season arrives. Read on to learn more about catching this fish and what you can do with it.

Quick Tips for Reeling In Walleye in Stardew Valley

Walleye can be caught during rainy days in Fall in the river, Mountain Lake, or Cindersap Forest Pond. The best location to catch this fish is in the Cindersap Forest, though. Once you catch it, you can use it to fulfill part of the Night Fishing Bundle at the Community Center.[1]

  1. Walleye can be caught in Fall during rainy days. You can also catch Walleye during the Winter if you use a Rain Totem.[2] There are a few exceptions to this, however, though they require game progression or gold:[3]
    • If you have access to Qi's Walnut Room, you can buy Magic Bait that allows you to catch any fish regardless of the weather, time, or season. You can purchase Magic Bait for 5 Qi Gems, as well as the recipe for Magic Bait for 20 Qi Gems.[4]
    • Walleye can randomly (and rarely) be found in Garbage Cans during Fall and Winter.
    • You can also rarely find Walleye for sale in the Traveling Cart for 315 to 1,000 gold.
  2. and 2 a.m. Walleye are most commonly found in the Cindersap Forest Pond, where every cast has a 32% chance of catching a Walleye.[5]
    • You can also catch a Walleye on your farm if you chose the Riverland Farm or Forest Farm.

  3. Walleye is not the most common fish to catch, but with a little patience and dedication you'll catch one in no time. And thankfully, Walleye has the Smooth behavior during the fishing mini-game, which means it's got a steady (and therefore slightly less difficult) movement pattern.[6] [7]
