  1. You must have Foraging Level 3 to unlock the crafting recipe. Use 40 Wood and 2 Copper Bars to craft a Tapper.
    • Tapping an Oak Tree is the most reliable way to get Oak Resin. However, you may also get Oak Resin from the Haunted Skulls in the The Mines (1.3% drop rate) or from processing Hardwood in a Wood Chipper (0.66% chance).[2]
  2. Four types of regular trees can be found around the town and your farm. The Oak Tree's silhouette has an egg shape with bright green leaves in the Spring, teal leaves in the Summer, and brown leaves in the Fall.
    • The Oak Tree looks similar to the Maple Tree, but Maple Trees have more visible branches underneath its leaves.

  3. When the Oak Resin is finished, you'll see the icon above the Tapper. It looks like a green bottle with a stripe in the middle.
    • Once collected, you can leave the Tapper on the tree to produce more Oak Resin. Just be sure to collect it when it's finished.

  1. The Community Center. Oak Resin is used in two of the Community Center Bundles: the Enchanter's Bundle on the Bulletin Board and the Exotic Foraging Bundle in the Crafts Room.[3]
  2. Oak Resin can be sold for 150g. If you have the Tapper profession, you can earn 25% more gold (187g).
  3. At Farming Level 8, Oak Resin can be used to craft Deluxe Speed-Gro and a Keg.[4]
    • Deluxe Speed-Gro: 1 Oak Resin, 1 Coral
    • Keg: 30 Wood, 1 Copper Bar, 1 Iron Bar, 1 Oak Resin
  4. If you have enough friendship hearts with Emily and Haley, you can visit their house to use the sewing machine and dye pots. This allows you to create different clothing and colors.
    • Floppy Beanie: 1 Oak Resin, 1 Cloth
    • Green dye: 1 Oak Resin
  5. If you have a Fish Pond quest from the Woodskip, you may be asked to provide one Oak Resin.
  6. Only Maru "likes" the Oak Resin; every other villager dislikes it.
