Steps
Tapping an Oak Tree
-
Craft a Tapper. You must have Foraging Level 3 to unlock the crafting recipe. Use 40 Wood and 2 Copper Bars to craft a Tapper.
- Tapping an Oak Tree is the most reliable way to get Oak Resin. However, you may also get Oak Resin from the Haunted Skulls in the The Mines (1.3% drop rate) or from processing Hardwood in a Wood Chipper (0.66% chance).[2]
-
Place the Tapper on an Oak Tree. Four types of regular trees can be found around the town and your farm. The Oak Tree's silhouette has an egg shape with bright green leaves in the Spring, teal leaves in the Summer, and brown leaves in the Fall.
- The Oak Tree looks similar to the Maple Tree, but Maple Trees have more visible branches underneath its leaves.

- Once collected, you can leave the Tapper on the tree to produce more Oak Resin. Just be sure to collect it when it's finished.
