In Stardew Valley, cloth is used to tailor clothing, craft, building, and more. The easiest way to get lots of cloth is to shear a Rabbit or Sheep and place the Wool into a Loom. Here's how to get Cloth in Stardew Valley.

  1. A baby sheep matures after four (4) consecutive days of being fed. A baby rabbit matures after six (6) consecutive days of being fed.[3]

    • While processing Wool in a Loom is the most reliable way to get Cloth, you can also:

    • If you have Silver, Gold, or Iridium Wool, you have a 10/25/50% chance to collect two Cloth.
    • Consider crafting multiple Looms if you have a lot of Wool to process.

  1. If you have obtained at least 1 Cloth, Emily will appear the next day and invite you to use her sewing machine. Each clothing item requires 1 Cloth and can be combined with other items to create certain clothing. To make clothes, do the following:
    • Go to Emily and Haley's house.
    • Interact with the sewing machine.
    • Place 1 Cloth in the first slot.
    • Place any other item in the second slot.
    • Place the clothing into your inventory.
  2. The Community Center. Cloth can be used for the Artisan Bundle in the Pantry.
  3. You can craft a Dressed Spinner with 2 Iron Bars and 1 Cloth. This requires Fishing Level 8.
  4. You can create a Mill with 50 Stone, 150 Wood, and 4 Cloth.

Equipping Clothes

  1. You should see the clothes you want to equip in your normal inventory.
    • At the bottom, you'll see your character along with the equipment slots.
  2. Make sure you use the correct slot.
    • For example, drag a new shirt into the shirt equipment slot.
    • The new clothing will be equipped.
