I think the kindest approach is to be honest and direct. That way, you’re not leading the person on with false hope, excuses, or mixed signals. You might say something like: “Thank you so much for asking me out—you seem like a really great person. I just don’t feel a romantic connection, but I truly wish you the best.”

How do you know if someone likes you? There’s this girl at school I like, and I think she likes me, but I can’t really tell. I don’t want to ask her to be my girlfriend if she’s just going to say no. Do I ask her if she likes me over text? Or do I just look for big signs?

HELP! How To Say No To a Boy Asking Me Out
My friends and I tried to get people to get married as a joke, and I convinced one of them that their crush would like them more if they did it. So, the next day, they divorced, and I joked around, saying how they were so cute. I then ask the boy (Let's call him Todd) to tell me who his crush is. Apparently, it was me, and he liked me since 3rd grade! I think that is a VERY long time to like someone. Todd says that I am smart, kind, and beautiful. The problem is, I don't know him that well, and Todd will be my first boyfriend. I don't want to date him, but I want to tell them that he reason is because I don't know him very well. I want to know exactly what to say. I really need answers by tomorrow night, but I see that is unreasonable, so I just want to know this for the future.

How do I confess my feelings to someone?
Look, I've been hanging out with this one girl for a while now, she took me to homecoming at her school, and I took her to my homecoming as well. We also hang out a lot and I think she really likes me, but I don't know how to confess to her. Any advice?
