Dratini, Dragonair, and Dragonite have been popular Pokémon since they first appeared in Generation 1. Many users find this Pokémon line to be cute, and Dragonite has the added bonus of being the first pseudo-legendary Pokémon introduced to the series. So how do you evolve Dragonair to get a Dragonite? Thankfully, Dragonair evolves by simply leveling up, but due to the high level requirement it can take some time. In this article we'll teach you how to get a Dragonair if you don't have one already as well as how to evolve your Dragonair into a Dragonite.

Things You Should Know

Dragonair can be found in the wild, but you can also evolve one from a Dratini at level 30.
Level up Dragonair to level 55 for it to evolve into a Dragonite.
As Dragonite is one of the most powerful non-legendary Pokémon, levelling your Dragonair to evolve will take more time than other Pokémon.

Level up Dragonair to level 55. You can use Rare Candies, EXP Candies, or battle experience to level up your Dragonair. Once your Dragonair reaches level 55, it will evolve into a Dragonite.^{[1]
