Are you getting too many notifications from your friends on Snapchat? To stop the "Shared a Snap with you" alert, you can easily mute the user. To stop other alerts, such as Story Posts and Mentions, you can change your notification settings. Here's how to change who you get Snapchat notifications from using your iPhone, iPad, or Android.

Changing for Specific People

Tap the chat icon. This is at the bottom of the screen, to the left of the camera icon.
- If you want to stop receiving notifications from specific users or groups, you can choose to mute them.
- If you want to stop a user from interacting with you at all, you can block them.

Tap Chat and Notification Settings. This is underneath Manage Friendship.

Tap Done. Your changes will be saved. If you want to unmute the user, open the Notification Settings menu again and toggle the switches off.
