“Sendy shotty” is when you shotgun or chug something that’s not alcohol. “Shotgunning” a beer is when you puncture a hole in the can, pop the tab, and drink from the hole. It’s a big thing with frat guys and jocks, in general. Recently, people on TikTok are pretending (or sometimes not pretending) to shotgun other things, like tacos, bags of chips, bowls of cereal, or even non-food objects, saying “sendy shotty” before they do as part of the joke.

“Shotty” means to shotgun, which is to chug a drink. It’s something like a party trick, or just a party ritual. To shotgun a beverage, you hold the can horizontally and use something sharp to jab a hole in its side. Then, you pop the tab and drink from the hole. When you shotgun something, you hold it in a specific pose, out to the side, which people imitate for the “sendy shotty” trend.
- To “hit the shotty” means to shotgun something.

The trend was popularized by TikToker @mackai.anderstrom2.0. In a TikTok uploaded on August 26, 2025, the user films himself eating a wrap. When he does, he “accidentally” eats it like he’s shotgunning a beer, then hits the shaka. Once he realizes what he’s doing, he acts surprised that he was recording and turns the camera off. People in the comments who realize what he’s doing (accidentally shotgunning a wrap) say he’s “aura farming” and celebrate the dope sendy.
- The video has 420k likes and counting, and inspired hundreds of parodies and copycats, giving birth to the sendy shotty trend.
