Do you want to send a Discord message to a friend without bothering them? When you send anything through Discord, the recipient will receive a sound notification and, sometimes, a push notification. If you know your friend is busy (or asleep), you can easily make your message go through without any alerts. This wikiHow will show you how to send silent messages without pinging others on Discord using your computer, iPhone, iPad, or Android.

Things You Should Know

• Enter the command "@silent" in front of your Discord message, and then send it.
• Recipients won't receive any push or desktop notifications for the message.
• When you send a silent message, you'll see a bell icon next to the time sent.

   Navigate to a server or Direct Message. Tap a server from the left panel, or tap a recent Direct Message to open it.
