- Open Messenger and open a chat that contains a photo you want to save.
- Tap the More actions "i" button in the top right corner of the chat.
- Tap View media, files & links.

Open Messenger. It’s the blue chat bubble icon with a white lightning bolt on your home screen (or in the app drawer, if you’re using Android).
- If it’s your first time using Messenger, you’ll be prompted to sign in. Use the same username and password that you use to sign in to Facebook.
- Since there's no way to automatically download new images like there is with WhatsApp, you'll have to manually save all the pictures you want.
