Do you want to save that picture sent through Facebook Messenger? Luckily, you can do this pretty easily on Android, iPhone, or iPad! With a few taps, you'll be able to save all the existing images in your chats as well as all the photos and videos you capture on your phone.   1. It’s the blue chat bubble icon with a white lightning bolt on your home screen (or in the app drawer, if you’re using Android).
    • If it’s your first time using Messenger, you’ll be prompted to sign in. Use the same username and password that you use to sign in to Facebook.
    • Since there's no way to automatically download new images like there is with WhatsApp, you'll have to manually save all the pictures you want.

    • Under the Media tab, you'll see all the images that have been sent in the chat.
  4. The image will take up the screen.

  • If you accidentally tapped No when you were prompted if Messenger could access your files and media, you can change the permissions in Settings > Apps (Android Only) > Messenger. If you have an iPhone, you'll find the permissions in Settings > Messenger > Photos.
