    • In English, that translates to: “Lirili Larila, elephant in the desert walking here and there. Wearing sandals and a clock that goes tick tack, the spines of the cactus give me a flashback attack. Uncle Ramon arrives on a blue hot air balloon, shouting: “What are you doing here? Do you even like WiFi?” I answer, breathless, “I’m just trying to understand why a cactus with sandals can also dress up!”

  1. In this video from Cartoon Games, Lirili was lost in the desert. He killed a cactus for the water inside, and he was transformed into the monster we now know as Lirili Larila. He was then rejected by his elephant clan, doomed to wander the desert alone.[2]
    • The Cartoon Games video features other popular Italian Brainrot characters like Tung Tung Tung Sahur (a baseball bat with a human face, arms, and legs), La Vaca Saturno Saturnita (which has Saturn for a body, a cow’s head, and human feet), and Chimpanzini Bananini (a chimpanzee inside a banana).[3]
    • Another video claims that Lirili Larila once overslept for 100 years, which is why she’s now followed by a clock everywhere she goes.
    • This video says that Lirili was a regular elephant, but his legs turned into cactus after a time-traveling clock exploded over the desert where Lirili lived.
  2. Lirili’s ability to control time often gives him an edge against other characters, including the powerful Tralalero Tralala (a shark who wears Nikes). Lirili also beat Tung Tung Tung Sahur, a character who almost always wins vs. matchups.
