Do you want to remove yourself from a WhatsApp group chat? You can now leave group conversations without notifying other members (aside from the admins). Here's how to leave a group chat on WhatsApp using your iPhone, iPad, Android, or computer.

Quick Steps

1. Tap Chats.
2. Tap a group chat.
3. Tap the group name.
4. Tap Exit Group at the very bottom.

   Open WhatsApp and tap Chats. On Android, this is at the top. On iOS, this is at the bottom.

   • If you aren't already logged in, enter your email address or phone number and password to do so now.
   • You can leave a group on WhatsApp without anyone (except for the admin) knowing.

   Tap the group chat you want to leave. You'll see a list of recent messages from newest to oldest.

   Tap the group name. This is at the top.

   Scroll down and tap Exit Group. This is in red at the bottom of the screen.

   • Group members can still check the group details for current members, but they won't be notified that you left.

   Open the WhatsApp desktop app and click Chats. If you aren't already logged in, enter your email address or phone number and password to do so now.

   • You can also use WhatsApp in a browser at https://web.whatsapp.com/.
   • When you leave a group chat on WhatsApp, only the group admin(s) will be notified.

   Click the group chat you want to leave. You'll see a list of recent messages from newest to oldest.

  Open the WhatsApp app and go to the group chat you want to leave. Tap the group name at the top to access Group Info. Scroll down and select Exit Group. Confirm your decision to leave the group. Once you exit, you will no longer receive messages or notifications from the group. You can also choose to delete the group to remove it from your chat list.
