  1. There are a few different ways to invite your friends to a Facebook Group you manage. You can select all friends to send multiple invites at once, invite friends individually, or (if the group is private), send an invitation link through Messenger or your preferred platform.[3]
  2. It's to the right of the "Manage" button if you're an admin, or the "Joined" button if you're a member.
  3. If you want to invite all your friends to the group at once, this will be the easiest way to do so.
    • If you only want to invite certain friends, just tap the blue Invite button next to each friend you want to invite. You can search for specific friends using the search bar if you'd like.[4]
    • If the group is private, you can select Invite with link to create an invitation link for your Facebook group that you can share anywhere. This makes it easy to extend the invitation to people you aren't friends with.
    • If you're a group admin, you'll also see the Invite with email option. Choose this if you want to send an email containing an invitation link to up to 30 email addresses at once.
  4. You will see this option in the upper-right corner. Now you'll see checkmarks next to each friend's name as you scroll through the list.
    • You can also search for friends by name to specifically check or uncheck their invite boxes.
  5. When your friend receives the invitation, they'll be able to open the group in preview mode and decide if they want to join. If they select the option to join, they may need to be approved by an admin or moderator (if you are not the group admin).[5]
    • You are limited to sending invitations to a certain number of friends per day. This number is not specified by Facebook.[6]

Tips

  • Celebrities and businesses use pages to maintain a Facebook presence, whereas groups are more similar to forums that consist of people brought together by the context of the group itself.[10]
  • One "joins" a Group, whereas one "Likes" a page.
  • Unless you have a developed relationship with each friend in your friends list, don't invite your entire friends list to like or join your page; some may consider this action "spam."
