Today, Tuesday, August 26, 2025, pop icon Taylor Swift announced via Instagram that she’s engaged to NFL star Travis Kelce! ❤️💍🥂🍾✨The post is captioned, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨” and features 5 photos of Swift and Kelce showing their affection for one another in a romantic rose garden.
The couple has been together for two years, and Kelce popped the question with a gorgeous old-mine brilliant-cut diamond ring he designed with Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry in New York City, according to ABC. A jewelry expert estimates that the ring is about 8 carats and costs $550,000, according to Fortune.
The news comes just days after Swift announced the release of her 12th album Life of a Showgirl (more details on that here) and near the end of the NFL pre-season, with Kelce playing tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs. These two sure have a lot to celebrate!

Creator @Areqaep posted an edit of the 2015 movie Creed on TikTok on July 30th, 2025. The original movie stars Michael B. Jordan as Adonis Creed, a boxer who seeks out Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) to train him so he can follow in the footsteps of his father, Apollo Creed, a boxing champion who died before Adonis was born.
Featuring sound mixing that combines boxing-heavy clips from the original film with Kendrick Lamar’s “untitled 05,” the Creed edit has racked up more than 100 million views! Many TikTok users have recreated the edit, often sharing videos of themselves shadowboxing set to the audio from @Areqaep’s edit.

Calling all Rick Riordan fans! Let's settle the great Percy vs. Jason debate once and for all.
In case you need a refresher, Perseus 'Percy' Jackson is protagonist of Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Percy is a Greek demigod and the son of Poseidon (the Greek god of the sea) and Sally Jackson. He was trained to fight by Chiron at Camp Half Blood. Percy can manipulate water and currents, can breathe underwater, has enhanced strength and senses when near water, and can communicate with sea animals. His primary weapon is the shape-shifting sword, Riptide.
Jason Grace is the protagonist in The Heroes of Olympus. Jason is a Roman demigod and the son of Jupiter (the Roman god of the sky and thunder) and Ms. Grace. He was trained to fight by Lupa at the Wolf House of Camp Jupiter. He can generate lightning and manipuate weather as well as air spirits. His weapons include the legendary sword, Gladius, as well as Ivlivs, a golden coin that turns to a sword on 'heads' and a javelin on 'tails.'
