Like, I go to this youth group and there's this girl that I think is kinda cute. I've never talked to her and she's never talked to me. But the past couple of months I will glance in her direction and it'll seem that she had just, quickly, looked away from me. Does this mean she likes me?

There's a possibility this could mean she likes you! Common signs someone has a crush on you include:
  • Frequent staring
  • Making eye contact
  • Smiling
  • Going out of their way to be near you
  • Expressing open and relaxed body language around you
  • Showing off in front of you
  • Blushing when you're around
  • Asking you about yourself
  • Laughing at your jokes (even when they're not funny)
Now, this girl doesn't have to do all of these things to have a crush on you, but if she does at least a few of them, there's a good chance she likes you. To test the waters, why don't you try using a few of these tricks on her, and see if she makes her feelings more pronounced? Give her a little smile (and maybe a wave) next time you manage to make eye contact, or just go right up and ask her how she's doing. These are chill, low-stakes ways to gauge somebody's interest. It could be! There’s only one way to find out. Make small talk nothing too heavy or flirtatious. Ask her where she goes to school, what she’s doing this weekend, etc. Keep things light and see if there’s any sort of flicker in the conversation to show that maybe she’s interested. You’ve got this!

Why did this girl start talking to me again after ignoring me?
I (M19) am currently talking to a girl I met in a survey class (she’s 20F, I think). The thing is, I thought we were really hitting it off but she randomly gets cold and distant. When we first starting talking, we chatted basically every day for like a week. Then, she totally went dark. It felt like she was ignoring me, but she texted me like a week later and apologized for being busy. She’s done this like two times. What’s going on, you think? It feels like we flirt a lot when we talk, but then she just goes totally cold and it’s driving me nuts. You think I have a shot here?

Met this girl in school (grad). Been hanging out for several times over two weeks - really long sessions with sports, shopping, food, going to each other's dorms. Nothing explicitly intimate happened, but there were moments (sitting close, her ears turning red when we touched, inviting me to her room after mentioning her date). Had deep conversations, she laughed at all my jokes. Started to feel she might have feelings too - she kept extending our time together, seemed to create opportunities for something to happen. But I never had the guts to make it explicit or call anything a "date."
