If you want to rename your Facebook group or change its description ("About" section), it's easy to do—you'll just to know where to find your group settings, and you must be a group admin. Go to https://facebook.com/groups in a web browser. If you're logged in to Facebook, you will see a list of groups you manage, as well as groups you've joined, in the left sidebar.
- If you're not signed in, follow the on-screen instructions now.
- You can edit a group description as often as needed, but you can only change the name of a Facebook group once every 28 days. If it has been fewer than 28 days since your last group name edit, you won't be able to edit the group's name.[1]

Click the group you want to edit. Groups you can edit appear under "Groups you manage" in the left panel. You can only edit the description, name, and other details of groups you manage.[2]
- If you're not a group admin, you won't see your group under "Groups you manage," and thus cannot change the group description.
- If you manage a lot of groups, it may be easier to search for the group by name using the "Search groups" bar at the upper-left.
