Are you wondering if BeReal will notify you take a screenshot of somebody's post? Want to know if somebody screenshotted your BeReal post? BeReal does tell you if somebody screenshots your post, but it won't show an obvious notification like on Snapchat. If you want to see who took a screenshot of your BeReal post, just tap the screenshot icon next to your post in the app. This wikiHow article will teach you how screenshots work in BeReal. We'll also show you how to see if anyone has taken a screenshot of your BeReal posts.

Things You Should Know

You won't see a banner notification if somebody screenshots your post, but you can still see who took a screenshot.
To see who took a screenshot of your post, go to the post in the mobile app.
On Android, tap the screenshot icon. On iPhone, share the post with at least one person to see who took a screenshot.

Yes. Although the platform doesn't send out a push notification to phones like Snapchat and Instagram, BeReal users can still go to their posts and see who took a screen capture.
- When you open the BeReal app on your Android or iPhone, you'll see a small icon next to your post that indicates whether people have taken screenshots of your post.

Go to your recent post. How you see who screenshotted your post depends on your type of smartphone:
- If you're using an iPhone, you'll see a lens outline with the number of people that took a screenshot of that post.
- If you're using an Android, you'll see a yellow shutter icon to the right of your post.

Tap the Screenshot icon. It's below your post next to your caption.
- Android users will see the names of users who took a screenshot of their post, while iPhone users will have to share it to be able to see who screenshotted the post.
- If you're using Android, you already see who screenshotted the post and can skip the rest of these steps.

Tap a Share method (iPhone only). You'll see several options for sharing your post. You will need to share the post with at least one person to see who took a screenshot, but if you're feeling shy, you can always email or text it to your own address.
- This will also share a direct link to your BeReal profile, so anyone who receives this share will also be able to look at your BeReal profile easily.
- If the person with whom you're sharing the post isn't signed up, the share link may also include an advertisement to sign up with BeReal.^{[1]
