In Windows 10, you can broadcast your WiFi, Ethernet, or cellular data connection as a Wi-Fi hotspot. This allows other devices to connect to it. This can be done through the Settings app. Read this article to learn how.

-
Select Mobile hotspot from the left pane. This option has an icon of a cell phone tower, and it's near the bottom of the list of options.[1]
-
Choose your settings. The next step, according to computer and phone repair specialist Joseph Alexander, is to choose how to share your connection:[2]
- Select which connection you want to share under Share my Internet connection from.
- Press the Edit button to change the hotspot's name and password.
- Turn on remotely automatically turns on the hotspot if both devices (PC and that device) are Bluetooth-enabled.[3]
-
Toggle on "Share my Internet connection with other devices". Other devices will now see your hotspot and connect to it provided the correct password is entered. [4]

QuestionWhat if when I go into Network & Internet, it doesn't have hot-spot under that?Isum007Community AnswerIf your PC has a cellular data connection, you can turn your Windows 10 PC into a mobile hotspot by sharing your Internet connection with other devices over Wi-Fi. Select the Start button, then select Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile hotspot. If your Windows PC doesn't support Hotspot feature, you cannot create a hotspot. For Share my Internet connection from, choose the Internet connection you want to share. Select Edit > enter a new network name and password > Save. Turn on Share my Internet connection with other devices. To connect on the other device, go to the Wi-Fi settings on that device, find your network name, select it, enter the password, and then connect.

Make sure your PC is connected to your phone.
-
QuestionIf there is no existing mobile hotspot option, then what can I do?RapidGumCommunity AnswerYou could set up a mobile hotspot or try to connect to a local WiFi. On your phone, you can also set up data, allowing you to do these things without being connected.
