Would you rather certain people not see your Snapscore? Your Snapscore is visible to your friends, and there’s no direct way to hide it from them. However, you can prevent specific people from seeing it or adjust your privacy settings to make your profile a little harder to find. This wikiHow guide will show you how to control who can see your Snapchat score on your Android, iPhone, or iPad.
Hiding Your Snapscore: What to Know
There isn’t a way to hide your Snapscore from friends. Adjusting your privacy settings can make it harder for friends or contacts to see your profile and Snapscore. Remove or block specific friends to prevent them from viewing your score.
Steps
Change Your Privacy Settings
-
Tap the profile button. It’s the picture of your avatar in the top left of the Chat, Camera, Map, or Stories pages. This method will set your privacy options to limit the number of people who view your profile.[1]
- There isn’t a setting to hide your Snapscore from your profile, but users who aren’t your friends won’t be able to see it.
- Snapchat scores are calculated by combining Snaps sent and received, Stories posted, and other factors.[2]
- If you’re trying to improve your score, check out our guide on how to increase Snapscores fast.
-
Tap the settings button. It’s the gear icon in the top right of the profile page.[3]
-
Scroll to “Privacy Controls”. From here, you can adjust several settings to make it harder for people to see your Snapscore.
-
Adjust your privacy settings. The following settings will limit the amount of people who can chat with you or view your profile. There is not currently a setting to hide a Snapscore or completely hide your profile, but you can make yourself harder to find. This is also a great way to stay safe on Snapchat. Keep in mind that some of these settings may take up to 72 hours to go into effect.
- Set Contact Me to Friends. According to some users, people who can message you are still able to see your Snapscore, even if you aren’t mutual friends. This should limit the visibility of your Snapscore to only your current mutual friends.
- While your story is only visible to friends by default, you can restrict it even more by tapping View My Story and selecting Custom. Select the specific friends you’d like to block from viewing your story, then tap Block.
- Tap See Me in Find Friends and toggle off the switch next to Show me in Find Friends. This will make it harder for people to find your profile. Tap < at the top of the screen to return to the main privacy menu.
- Set See My Location to Only Me.
Remove a Friend
-
Tap the Chat page button. It’s the message box icon in the bottom left of the app. This will take you to the Chat page, where you’ll be able to remove a friend. Removing a friend will prevent them from seeing your Snapchat score (as long as your privacy settings are set to only allow friends to chat with you).[4]
- Note that this won’t completely hide your profile from them, but it will limit how often they see it. It should also prevent them from seeing your Snapscore.
- To completely prevent a friend or contact from seeing your profile, you can block them instead.
-
Press and hold the friend’s name. This will open an options menu.
-
Tap Manage Friendship.[5]
