How to breed your own Shellbeat in My Singing Monsters
PDF download Download Article

Are you trying to breed a Shellbeat in My Singing Monsters? This quad-element monster is a great choice if you're just starting out the game and need a monster that can generate a lot of coins. Thankfully it's not too difficult to get a Shellbeat if you've got a little patience and you can get your hands on a Spunge and Noggin.

Best Pair to Breed a Shellbeat

The best pair to breed a Shellbeat is Spunge and Noggin. However, you can breed a Shellbeat by breeding any combination of single-, double-, or triple-element monsters that combine Plant, Air, Water, and Earth without repeating any.

  1. You can get Shellbeat by breeding monsters that combine Plant, Air, Water, and Earth without repeating any. This can be achieved by breeding certain double-element monsters, or a triple-element monster and a single-element monster. The best combination is a Spunge and a Noggin, as if you fail and get a Noggin instead of a Shellbeat you can immediately try again.[1] The following combinations are also the breeding combinations to get a Rare Shellbeat.[2]
    • The following double-element monster pairs can result in a Shellbeat:
      • Dandidoo and Fwog
      • Cybop and Oaktopus
      • Quibble and Shrubb
    • The following triple-element and single-element monster pairs can result in a Shellbeat:
      • Spunge and Noggin
      • Scups and Potbelly
      • Reedling and Toe Jammer
      • Pummel and Tweedle
  2. Monsters must be at least level 4 to breed, so level up your parent monsters if they're not already at least level 4.[3]

  3. While not necessary, you can upgrade your Breeding Structures to reduce breeding times by 25%. You can upgrade your structure by spending 25 diamonds.
    • You can also add Wishing Torches around your Breeding Structure to help increase the odds of a rare monster being bred.[4] Wishing Torches can be lit for 24 hours by paying 2 diamonds or be lit permanently by paying 100 diamonds.
  4. Once you're ready to breed your monsters, put them in the Breeding Structure. A Shellbeat egg is pink with a shell, similar to a Shellbeat.[5]
    • To get a Rare Shellbeat, you'll need to wait until a breeding window opens up. There are some promotions and events where all Rares of a certain element are available.[6]
  5. By default, it takes 24 hours for a Shellbeat egg to hatch. If you've got enhanced Breeding Structures, however, it will hatch in 18 hours.
