Meet the Students of Wednesday’s Nevermore Academy
Wednesday Addams, played by Jenna Ortega, is the series’ main protagonist—it’s named after her, after all. She’s ooky, spooky, weird, and creepy, but she’s also smart, clever, independent, and determined, and won’t let a few pesky murders get in the way of mastering her psychokinetic powers.
Enid Sinclair, played by Emma Myers, is a werewolf who’s more perfect popular princess than she is mangy, monstrous mutt. At first, she serves as Wednesday’s irritating roommate, but the two eventually form a close friendship and learn that they’re each other’s closest allies at the mysterious Nevermore Academy.
Eugene Ottinger, played by Moosa Mostafa, is a swarmer—someone who can bond with and control insects. He’s a little socially awkward and prefers to hang out with his horde of creepy crawlies, but eventually befriends Wednesday and helps her learn to beekeep.
Bianca Barclay, played by Joy Sunday, is a siren, which is like a mermaid but freakier. She’s the top of the food chain at Nevermore Academy and can be a bit ruthless in her determination to keep it that way, but later in the series, she opens up to Wednesday and shows that she’s a little more complicated than her fellow students make her out to be.
Ajax Petropolus, played by Georgie Farmer, is a gorgon who can turn you to stone with just a look. In fact, he’s turned himself to stone just by looking at himself in a mirror. It makes it hard for him to make friends at Nevermore, but his gentle and kind personality wins him some close allies.
Bruno Yuson, played by Noah Taylor, is a hotshot werewolf and also Enid’s love interest in season 2. He’s dreamy, cocky, and maybe a little more mysterious than he seems at first, but we won’t spoil anything!
Agnes DeMille, played by Evie Templeton, is an unhinged vanisher—someone who can turn invisible. She’s a little intense and is Wednesday’s self-proclaimed #1 fan, going so far as to blackmail and kidnap people to get closer to Wednesday. But she’s not all crazy, and even becomes a helpful ally in the murder mystery case.
Xavier Thorpe, played by Percy Hynes White, is an artistic psychic who spends most of his time alone, but he doesn’t mind so much. Not usually. He’s kind, sweet, and a bit of a heartthrob once you get to know him, but he’s also got something of a dark side.
Yoko Tanaka, played by Naomi J. Ogawa, is a popular vampire at Nevermore Academy. While she’s competitive and intimidating, she’s also got a stronger moral compass than many of the outcasts at Nevermore.
Rowan Laslow, played by Calum Ross, is a nervous wreck of a telekinetic who’s hell-bent on killing Wednesday Addams. Good luck with that, Rowan.
