To find popular hashtags, open TikTok and click on the Discover compass icon at the bottom of the screen.

Scroll through the discover page to find trending videos and hashtags. When you find a trending hashtag you like, remember to add it to your next video.

Create your own hashtag to add a unique spin when promoting your video. A personal hashtag can fit specifically to your content or make a project or campaign stand out. There are a couple of things to keep in mind when making your own hashtags:
- The hashtag should be self-explanatory and easy to understand at a quick glance.
- Make sure the hashtag is relevant to your campaign, project, or content.
- The snappier and easier the hashtag is to remember, the more people will remember it and may use it.

To grow your audience, use niche specific hashtags that relate to your profile. For example, if you wanted to make food, hair, and craft tutorials you might add the hashtags, #wikihowfood, #wikihowhair, or #wikihowcraft to your videos respectively.

Once you've created or found the hashtag you want to use, all that's left is to add them to your post. TikTok has a limit of 100 characters per caption, so be sure to keep your messages short and sweet to leave room for enough hashtags.
- There is no limit to how many hashtags you can add to a post, so the more the merrier.

Type a pound "#" symbol followed by the words and characters of your chosen hashtag, after your caption.
- Be sure not to leave spaces or use any special characters as these will break the hashtag link, and remove your video from that hashtag.
