Tiling a picture in Microsoft Word is helpful when you want to create art and newsletters, or when you want to feature a watermark or logo in the background of important documents. To tile a picture in Word, you must insert an image as a fill effect.

Things You Should Know

• Navigate to "Design" > "Page Color" > "Fill Effects" to begin tiling an image.
• Click on the "Picture" tab and click "Select Picture" to find and insert your desired image.
• Click "OK" after the preview to see your image tiled in the background of the Word doc.

• Try resizing an image before inserting into Word if you are not satisfied with the size and amount of tiles in your document. Microsoft Word automatically fits tiles into documents based on the original image size.
