  2. Download and install the PreMiD web browser extension.
  3. Open the web browser extension and ensure YouTube is enabled.
  4. Ensure the PreMiD desktop application is running in the background.
  5. Play a YouTube video using your web browser.
  1. Go to https://premid.app/downloads in a web browser. You can use any web browser on your PC or Mac. This takes you to the download page for PreMiD, which contains the desktop application and web browser extensions.

    • Click Next when the installer is ready to install.

    • Chrome: Go to the PreMiD extension in the Google Chrome Web Store. Click Add To Chrome Then confirm that you want to add the extension.
    • FireFox: Wait for the "premid.xpi" file to finish downloading. Then drag the "premid.xpi" file from your Downloads folder into a Firefox window. Click Add in the pop-up to add the extension.
    • Safari: Open the DMG file when it finishes downloading. Drag the DMG file into the Applications folder.
  5. To do so, click the puzzle piece icon in the upper-right corner. Then click the PreMiD extension.
  6. By default, all presences are enabled. If YouTube is not enabled, click the toggle switch next to YouTube.[2]
    • PreMiD also works with Netflix, Twitch, YouTube Music, and SoundCloud. Click Presence Store in the extension menu to find more presences you can add.
  7. The PreMiD application only works with the Discord desktop app. You must have the desktop app open and be signed in for PreMiD to change your custom status.
