It can be frustrating when your Roblox voice chat isn’t working. Voice chat is an essential way for players to communicate during gameplay. Luckily, there are a few things you can do to fix this problem. This wikiHow article teaches you how to troubleshoot your voice chat not working in Roblox.

Quick Fix: Roblox Voice Chat Not Working

Make sure you are 13 years or older and have verified your account with a phone number. Enable the Roblox voice chat in the Settings menu under Privacy & content restrictions. Make sure you have the correct mic selected as your input device and that Roblox has access to your mic. Restart Roblox and your computer.

Verify your age.

Voice chat is only available for users who are 13 or older. If you are under the age of 13, you are not eligible to use voice chat. Furthermore, you cannot change your birthday on your account if you are under 13. If you are older than 13, you may be able to verify your age. Use the following steps to do so:^{[1]

Make sure voice chat is available in your country.

Make sure voice chat is enabled.

You can enable or disable voice chat in the Settings menu. If you are 13 years or older with an account that have been verified via a phone number, you can use the following steps to check and make sure voice chat has been enabled:

Make sure your microphone is connected.

Check your input device.

You may not have the correct microphone selected. You’ll need to check your system settings on your computer and make sure your microphone is enabled and that you have the correct microphone selected. Make sure Roblox has access to your mic.

Your permission settings may be blocking Roblox from accessing your microphone. When an app tries to use your microphone or camera, you are usually asked to grant the app permission first. Restart Roblox.

There may be an issue that Roblox needs to fix. If you’ve tried everything and you are still experiencing problems, you may need to report the issue to Roblox. They may need to open a troubleshooting ticket and fix the issue. Use the following steps to submit an error report to Roblox:
- Go to the Contact Us web page.
- Fill out your username and first name.
- Enter your email address and confirm it.
- Select what type of device you are playing on.
- Select Bug Report as the type of help category.
  - If voice chat is disabled because you have the wrong birthday entered, select Age-based settings and accounts with parental privileges instead.
- Write a description of the issue you are experiencing.
- Click Continue.
- Wait for Roblox to get back to you.
