Uber is a rideshare service that offers peer-to-peer ridesharing, ride service hailing, food delivery, and a bicycle-sharing system. You normally set up an account with Uber including a payment method, but this wikiHow will show you how you can pay for an Uber with cash. Since Uber is mainly a cashless business, you can only select cash as a payment when you're requesting a ride if it's accepted in your area.

Request a ride. You'll need to set a destination and confirm your pickup to request a ride and continue.
- Make sure you're requesting the right kind of Uber service; for example, pick UberXL if you have more than 4 passengers.
When the ride is completed, your driver will give you the price for the ride, without including a tip.

Tips

If cash is not an option in your GPS location, you will not see the CASH option in the default payments menu. If your ride request is in a different city than your GPS location, you can try requesting a ride and changing the payment method to CASH before booking your ride.
