All About Murder Drones

What is Murder Drones?
Murder Drones is a YouTube animated web series created by Liam Vickers and produced by Glitch Productions. It premiered on October 29, 2021, and over the next few years, ran as a miniseries of 8 episodes, the first season ending on August 23, 2024.

What’s it about?
Murder Drones takes place in the year 3071, on the planet Copper 9, which is a mining planet owned and operated by the sinister JC Jenson megacorporation. On the planet, robots called Worker Drones mine for resources to send back to Earth. But disaster strikes when the planet’s core collapses and destroys all life, leaving the drones alone on a desolate planet. The drones fend for themselves until one day, 3 violent new drones arrive sent by the JC Jenson corporation to scrap and eradicate all the remaining drones.

Who are the main characters?

  • Uzi Doorman is the main protagonist. She’s a rebellious, independent drone who wants to liberate her fellow drones and resist the Disassembly Drones, even if her own people don’t agree with her.
  • The Disassembly Drones were sent to scrap the Worker Drones. J is their oppressive leader who sticks to the mission, while N and V eventually abandon the mission and side with Uzi.
  • Khan Doorman is the patriarch of the drone colony and engineer of the legendary blast door that protects the colony. He’s also the complicated father of Uzi.
  • Thad is one of the few drones who believes in and agrees with Uzi, and helps her on her mission.
  • Lizzy and Doll are Uzi’s classmates, and they both have their own complicated and dark pasts.
  • Nori Doorman is Uzi’s warm and protective mother, once presumed dead.
