The phrase comes from a 2002 episode of Spongebob Squarepants. In season two, episode 14, “Frankendoodle,” Spongebob finds a magic pencil that brings drawings to life. He draws a character named DoodleBob, but the drawing begins terrorizing Spongebob and his friends and fights for the magic pencil. DoodleBob can’t speak, but says variations of the phrase “me hoy minoy” throughout the episode.^{[2]
