Tips

  • If you are making kettle popped popcorn, simply put the desired amount of butter in the pan the popcorn was made in, and wait for it to melt. Then pour it over your popcorn, and enjoy.[5]
  • Place a paper towel over the microwave safe bowl - while it allows the butter to "breath", if it does explode (or even bubble) the paper towel will catch any near-spills.
  • This recipe works best with normal butter and microwave popcorn.

Warnings

  • Butter will be hot after being melted.
  • The butter may "explode" and cover the ceiling and/or walls of your microwave with liquid butter. It is a pain to clean off. Keep an eye on it if it begins to bubble a lot. Or just cover the dish with a paper towel and no worries!
  • It is high in fat content due to the butter.
  • Butter contains a lot of fat, which means that your popcorn will contain more calories. Therefore you should eat less of it.
