In the Roblox game Grow a Garden, both your crops and your pets can mutate. And while this might sound a little freaky, mutations are a good thing: crop mutations make your crops more valuable, and pet mutations make your pets more useful! In this article, we go over what mutations are, and we also list out all of the crop and pet mutations available and how to get them.

Grow a Garden Mutations

There are two types of mutations in Grow a Garden: crop mutations and pet mutations. Crop mutations change how your crops look and multiply the amount of Sheckles they're worth. Pet mutations give your pets additional passives while also changing how they look.

What are mutations?

  1. These mutations can be applied by weather, tools, special events, and pets.[1] Each mutation increases how many Sheckles your crops can be sold for, with common mutations simply doubling a crop's value and super rare mutations multiplying a crop's value by over 100.
    • There are a number of crop mutations that are always available due to being applied by pets or by non-admin weather events.
    • Other crop mutations are limited due to being caused by special events or admin weather.
  2. Pets can only be mutated if you use the Mutation Machine on them. The Mutation Machine is near the Egg Merchant, and it costs 500 million Sheckles to mutate a pet.[2] Pet mutations can increase the amount of XP they gain, give them the ability to apply special mutations, or boost their passive.
    • When adding a mutation to your pet, the process takes 1 hour. You can skip this by paying 49 Robux, however.
    • A mutated pet's age will be reset to 1.
    • Check below to see a list of all available pet mutations.
