When you tip for a haircut, I would say 25% is pretty fair. It always depends on how much work the person did. If it’s just like a little trim and you’re a regular client, it could be less. Or, if it was a whole transformation, go for a higher percentage, but I would say that usually 25% is fair. The main thing is just to treat your barber or hairstylist well and to keep up a good relationship. Don’t disappoint them with a low tip.

I'm a guy who wants to learn how to cut my own hair

Tips on how to ask for a raise? I'm nervous!
I've been working at the same company since last summer, and I'm planning to ask for a raise at my upcoming yearly review. This is the first "real" job I've ever had, and I'm not totally sure how to go about asking for more money. Any tips on what to say, how much to push (if at all), whether to go in with a specific amount in mind, etc. would be most appreciated!
