I think people are planning on surprising me on my birthday...

A few days ago I noticed a group of my friends' parents talking in my church. When I asked my grandpa about it, he said, "I guess you'll find out next week," which aligns perfectly with my birthday! I don't think it'll be a surprise party, but all of them know I play drums and have been struggling with my ekit. Whatever happens, I hope I'll still be surprised. If I end up being right, would it be wrong to tell them I knew?

Well, you technically don't know for sure, right? But even if you did, it's not wrong to know (and it doesn't sound like you tried to spoil the surprise—it just sort of happened!). You also don't necessarily have to even tell them you know: you can always just offer a heartfelt "Thank you!" for whatever present you end up receiving and leave it at that. But if you do tell them, there's really nothing wrong with that, either. Happy birthday from wikiHow!
