I like someone who everyone ships me with but he doesn't know

So, there's this guy in my science class, who sits near me and all, but everyone ships me with him. He doesn't like me based on how he acts, but I've just been nice, like giving him some money to buy something for like a dollar. How should I tell him I like him? I'm especially struggling because I just barely broke up with one of his best friends and he kept asking about my ex. I think he might like me because he had asked me about if I was with anyone, how strict my parents are with dating, if I'm allowed to kiss someone, and stuff like that. He also just barely broke up with his ex and we both have a really good time around each other and we always make each other laugh. Does anyone have any advice on this??

Some fun ways to show you're interested would be just sending some kind of image or video that you found on YouTube or song that you like that is playful, light, and flirty. You could say something like, "I saw this video you'd like," or "I heard this song that reminds me of you." So those are some simple ways that we can do it in our modern world of messaging and things like that.

Another thing could be literally passing him a note or sending a fun text message saying, "You're cute" or "You look adorable today," or something like that to show your interest. Ultimately, just being very clear and saying something like, "It's so cute or whenever you're really interested in a subject you just light up, it's so adorable, I can hardly contain myself." So you really just come back and say those things in person instead of beating around the bush. Being direct is always a better way to tell someone you like them than any other way.
