We’ve all heard the urban legend that there are 6 people out there who look just like us—but how, exactly, can you find your identical stranger? With the power of the internet, of course! In this article, we’ll tell you 9 different sites and apps you can use to search for your doppelgänger in seconds.

Twin Strangers

Check out Twin Strangers to find your twin lookalike. It’s a free website that uses an algorithm to scan your face and match it with other users. To start searching, simply make an account and upload your photo for free, then allow the AI to run a search. If you find anyone who looks like you, you can send them a message to start chatting.
- Twin Strangers only searches for lookalikes within their own site, meaning your doppelgänger will have to have an account on there, too. However, Twin Strangers has more than 9.5 million users, so the odds are high!
- Twin Strangers is free to use the first 5 times. After that, it will ask you to sign up for a paid account.

ILookLikeYou

ILookLikeYou matches your photo against their other users. What’s nice about this site is that it will find you your doppelgänger of any gender. Simply upload your photo and make an account, then let the site do its magic. If you find your lookalike, you can send them a message to say hello.

Twinlets is a site that matches your photo to other users. Simply head to their site, upload your photo, and hit “search.” The site is 100% free to use, and you don’t have to create an account to get started.
- You can choose to search for your twin by gender, or you can select “any” to search for your twin of any gender.

Pinterest

Try Pinterest’s 'Visually Similar Results' search function to find similar images on the site. Download the Pinterest app on iOS or Android, then sign into your account. Select the magnifying glass in the bottom right corner, then choose a selfie from your gallery. Place the search box over your face, then let the app search for images that look like you.^{[1]

- Alternatively, this can be done without downloading the Pinterest app, simply by visiting the website and looking for similar Pins via the icon in the corner of the upload.
- This might also be a function within your smartphone gallery app to search for visual matches of images on Pinterest.

FamilySearch

Use FamilySearch’s doppelgänger feature to find your twin. While FamilySearch is usually used to trace family history, it also has a function where you can find your lookalike.
