When you create a video or photo snap, you can easily upload it to your Story to share with your friends. You can post to My Story, Private Story, Our Story, or even Public Story (if you have a verified account). These Stories will be available to watch for 24 hours. Here's how to post to Snapchat Stories using your iPhone, iPad, or Android.

Posting to My Story (Mobile)

Create a snap. You can upload a snap from your Camera Roll or Memories, or you can create a new one. You can upload a photo or video snap to your Public Story.
- To create a new snap, tap the camera button to snap a picture, or hold the button to start recording.
- To upload a snap from your Memories, tap the two overlapping rectangles icon. Tap and hold the image or video you want to upload, and then tap Edit.
- To upload a snap from your Camera Roll, tap the two overlapping rectangles icon. Tap Camera Roll. Then, tap and hold the image or video you want to upload. Select Edit.

Edit your snap as necessary. If you want to write on your snap, add drawings, or add effects, do so before proceeding.

Tap Stories. This is the icon at the bottom of the screen. A pop-up menu will open.

Tap Add. The snap will be added to your My Story.
- If you want to send your snap to some of your Snapchat contacts and your Story, tap Send To instead. Then, select My Story (or a Private Story) and any friends. Tap the arrow to upload and send your snap.

Select the profile you want to post to. If you want to post to Spotlight as well, you'll need to repeat this process again for Spotlight; there's currently no way to post content to both your Public Story and Spotlight at the same time using the web.
