   They’re special numbers that represent a divine or spiritual message. In many cases, these numbers appear in repetitive strings—think 11:11 on a clock, or a $7.77 on the receipt of your coffee. While some people believe that angel numbers do, in fact, come from angels, others believe that angel numbers are messages from:

   • God/the divine
   • A deceased loved one
   • A higher version of yourself
   • The universe itself

   Watch for repetitive strings of numbers that frequently appear to you. Angel numbers often pop up where you least expect them to, whether it’s the clock on your phone, a receipt, a license plate, or a street/house number. These numbers will jump out to you automatically—you don’t search for them specifically.

   • Any sign or object that bears numbers can be evidence of an angel sign.
   • Maybe you wake up in the morning at 4:44, spend $44.44 on gas, and notice 44 unopened emails in your inbox. In this case, it’s safe to assume that 4 (or a string of 4s) is your angel number.

   Calculate your angel number using your birthdate. Write out your full birthdate numerically and add all of the digits together. If the total sum is a double-digit number, add the 2 individual digits together—this is your personal angel number that you should keep an eye out for!

   • Let’s say your birthday was September 9, 1989. You’d write out your birthday as 09091989 and add all the numbers together, which would give you a sum of 45. You’d then add 4 and 5 together, giving you an angel number of 9.

   Determine your angel number with your name. Assign numbers to each letter of the alphabet sequentially, with A representing 1 and Z representing 26. Add together the numbers that make up your first, middle, and last name—chances are, you’ll get a double digit number. From there, add together the 2 digits in the double digit number, which gives you your personal angel number. If the simplified number is still double digits, continue adding the digits together until you have a single-digit number.

   • If your name is Kate Robin Johnson, you’d add up your name as 11+1+20+5+18+15+2+9+14+10+15+8+14+19+15+14, creating a total sum of 190. You’d add 1+9+0 together, giving you a simplified sum of 10. From there, you’d add 1+0 together, giving you an angel number of 1.
