Elphaba & Glinda 101

Elphaba and Glinda are the main characters in the hit Broadway musical Wicked, which was adapted into a two-part movie series—Wicked (2024) and Wicked: For Good (2025). The story serves as a sort of prequel to The Wizard of Oz and explores the earlier lives of the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch. When their paths intersect at Shiz University, Elphaba and Glinda initially loathe each other, but they soon develop an unlikely friendship that changes them both for good.
