Want to draw a battle scene or the symbol for an especially adept warrior? Learn how to draw a bow and arrow in just a few simple steps!
Steps
-
Draw the body of the bow. Make a curve that bends upwards on the tip; it should look something like a handle. Then add two rectangles on top of the peak of the curve. This will make the grip of the bow.
-
Draw a straight line from one tip of the bow to the other. Add a very slim rectangle next to it--this will be the body of the arrow.Advertisement
-
Draw six rectangle shapes for the feathers like this. They should all be concentrated at one end, with three on each side.
-
Draw a pointy triangle for the tip of the arrow that does not have feathers. Make it isosceles and relatively thin, pointing downward as seen.
-
Paint your image. Use a color you like for the bow.You can make the grip of a different color. Remember the tip of the arrow should look like metal, so use silver or grey.

QuestionHow do I make it look 3D for my program?Isa WrenCommunity AnswerTo make almost anything look 3D, you will need to use shading. Shade around the left and right edges along the bow to make it look curved. You can find a video on how to use shading if you have the time, it could prove very useful in the long run.

- Draw lightly to begin with in case you need to erase, but once you've finished your drawing, try outlining the bow and arrow in black pen or pressing harder with a pencil to make them stand out.
- Use the side of the pencil tip to shade in the sides of the bow to make your drawing more lifelike.
- Get a skinny eraser so you can erase in small spaces, or use a kneaded eraser.
