If you have a Samsung Galaxy phone, you've probably noticed that pressing and holding the side/power button activates Bixby, Samsung's voice-powered assistant. If you'd rather the side button show you the power menu like other Android phones instead of activating Bixby, you can disable Bixby easily. This guide will walk you through three simple options to turn off Bixby on any Samsung Galaxy phone.

Press and hold the side (Bixby) button.
Tap the gear icon.
Tap Leave Bixby.
Tap OK and sign in to your Samsung account.
Tap OK to disable Bixby.

Press and hold the Side button on your Samsung Galaxy phone. This opens a menu with options.

Tap the gear icon. This displays several options for Bixby, including the option to disable it.
- If you are prompted to sign in to Bixby and don't see a gear icon, you haven't yet set up your Bixby account. Instead, disable Bixby by using this method.
