How to Delete a Happn Account

Happn is a location-based dating mobile app that prompts users to like/dislike other users. In this article, we’ll show you how to delete a Happn account in your mobile app. Just so you’re aware, deleting the Happn app will not delete your account, so delete that first in the “App Settings” menu before you remove the app from you phone if you don’t want to keep your profile active.

Things You Should Know

You can delete your Happn account via the settings in the app.
You also have the option to pause your account to temporarily hide it from others. If you pause your account, you can reactivate it later.
Deleting the Happn app on your phone won't delete your account. You'll need to delete your account first.

Steps

Open Happn. This app icon looks like two white GPS markers next to each other on a blue background. You’ll find this on the home screen, in the app drawer, or by searching.
- Login if prompted.
You’ll see this as the right-most icon in the bottom menu.

This option is near the bottom of the menu, so you’ll need to scroll down.

Tap Delete my account. You’ll be prompted if you want to pause or delete your account.
- If you pause your account, it will disappear from the app, but you’ll be able to reactivate it. If you delete your account, it will be deleted from the app, and you won’t have the ability to reactivate it.

Tap Delete my account. You’ll then be prompted to give a reason for deleting the account.
- Pick a reason to continue.
After you tap a reason, the “Yes, I’m done!” button will appear. You’ll get a confirmation pop up that lets you know your account has been deleted.

Tips

Deleting an account does not cancel your subscriptions. You’ll need to cancel those subscriptions through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).

You can also contact their customer service (as long as your account is linked with Facebook) to request them to delete the account. You’ll need to specify the email address and name you use for your Facebook account or your mobile phone number so they can find your profile in their user database.
