If you're a frequent user of Notion, you may be in a few teamspaces. Teamspaces are like miniature workspaces for specific teams (hence the name), but if you're in an old teamspace you don't need anymore it can make your workspace feel cluttered. There's no way to delete a teamspace completely, but you can remove it from your workspace by archiving it or leaving it, and we explain how you can do this in this article.
Things You Should Know
- If you own a teamspace, you can archive it to remove it from your sidebar by right-clicking (ctrl-clicking on Mac) and selecting "Archive teamspace."
- If you're a teamspace member, you can leave a teamspace by right-clicking (ctrl-clicking on Mac) and selecting "Leave teamspace."
- Archived teamspaces can be found under "Settings & members" > "Teamspaces", though you must be in an active teamspace to see this option.
Steps
-
Right-click on the teamspace name. If you're on Mac, you can Ctrl + click.Advertisement
-
Click Archive teamspace. It's the last option on the list.
-
Type the name of the teamspace and click Archive teamspace. Notion will ask if you want to move your teamspace pages to the Private and Shared sections of your sidebar. You can opt to move these pages or proceed without moving them.
- To find your archived teamspace, go to Settings & members > Teamspaces. Change the Archived dropdown from "active" to "archived" to view your archived teamspaces. You can unarchive them by clicking the three-dot button to the right and selecting Restore teamspace. Note that you must be in an active teamspace for the Teamspace option to be present in your settings.
-
Right-click the desired teamspace. If you're on Mac, you can Ctrl + click. If you aren't the owner of a teamspace, or there are multiple owners, you can leave the teamspace entirely to remove it from your sidebar. This won't delete it, but you won't have it in your Notion anymore.
-
Select Leave teamspace. The button has a waving hand icon and is above Archive teamspace.
- If you want to get back into the teamspace, you must be invited again by one of the teamspace owners.
- Note that some teamspaces are set up to not allow users to leave. If this is the case, you will have to contact the teamspace owner to be removed.

There's no way to delete a teamspace fully. You must either leave a teamspace or archive it to remove it from your sidebar, but archived teamspaces will be available in your Notion settings unless you aren't in any other teamspaces. Thanks
