DoorDash is an extremely convenient service—but what do you do if something goes wrong? Whether you’re missing a burrito from your order or there’s a problem with your DoorDash Merchant Account, getting in touch with a live person for support can be crucial. We’ve got you covered with all the ways you can reach out to DoorDash, whether you’re a customer, Dasher, or merchant.

What is the DoorDash customer service number?

If you’re a U.S. customer, reach out to DoorDash by calling (855) 431-0459. This is a good option if you’d prefer to speak to a real person. However, it’s typically easier to contact DoorDash Support through the live chat feature on the app.

Contacting DoorDash Customer Service

  1. Call DoorDash’s toll-free customer support line at (855) 431-0459. Calling DoorDash customer service is a good idea if you want to speak with someone directly. They can help you with problems related to current and past orders or questions about your account.[1]
    • DoorDash and Gig Economy Expert Maureen Broemer says, “There’s an automated system when you call, so it’s easy to get the help you need.”[2]
    • When prompted, explain your reason for calling. For instance, you might say, “I’d like to speak to an agent.”
  2. Log into your DoorDash app, then click on “Me,” then Settings. Scroll down to “Get Help” and tap on the order you need help with. (If the issue you need help with isn’t related to a specific order, tap the most recent order anyway.) Click “Something Else,” then “Contact Support.” Once you hit “Contact Support,” a chat window will open and you’ll be able to talk to an agent.[3]
    • You can also reach the chat through the Customer Support website. Click “Chat with us through the DoorDash app,” click the relevant (or most recent) order, then choose “It’s something else.” From there, click “Contact Support” to open a chat window.

  3. Open the DoorDash app on your phone or tablet, then click the “Orders” tab and select the correct order. Press the phone button to call your driver and speak with them directly.
    • You may also have the option to text your driver via the Chat feature rather than calling.
    • Keep in mind that your driver is operating a vehicle if you call while they’re completing your order, so try to be patient with them when you ask your questions.

Contacting Dasher Support

  1. Log into your Dasher app, then click the question mark icon in the top right corner of the screen. From there, scroll down until you see “Chat with Support.”[4]
    • Dashers could previously only reach out to chat support while they were in the middle of a delivery, but now chat support is available to Dashers anytime.
  2. The app is the easiest way to quickly get in touch with Dasher Support, but if you can’t access your app, phone support is available. Call one of these numbers to talk to someone on the Dasher Support team:[5]
  3. Email support@doordash.com for non-urgent inquiries. If you have a question that doesn’t require speaking to a live person, like you can’t reset your Dasher password, reach out to DoorDash by emailing them at support@doordash.com. You can also visit the DoorDash Help page for assistance.
    • If you prefer, you can also submit help requests through this form on the DoorDash website.

Contacting Support as a Merchant

  1. The Merchant Support phone line can be a good option for issues with live orders (like cancellations)—but wait times can be long, especially during peak hours. When you call, follow the menu options to be directed to the right helpline. Be prepared to give the name, address, and ID number of your store (or stores).[6]
  2. The Merchant Portal is a great way to reach out for non-emergency issues like problems with your deposits, trouble logging in, or making changes to your menu. To reach out through the Portal, navigate to the Merchant Portal Sign-in Page and sign in with your Merchant account username and password.[7]
    • Click on the Help tab on the left side of the page, then fill out the form and hit Submit.
  3. Like the portal, emailing Merchant Support is typically a good way to handle issues with things like payments or menu updates. There are two Merchant Support emails you can use:
  4. Log in to the DoorDash Business Manager App (iOS; Android) on your mobile device. Click the Support button, then Start a Chat (for new issues). If you’re reaching out about a previous issue, choose the relevant conversation under Recent Messages.[8]
    • If you have a DoorDash tablet: Click on the relevant order, then click “Get help” or “Issue with order.” Click “It’s something else” to be taken to a live chat.
