Since your YouTube account is linked to your Google account, you'll need to head to your Google account settings to update your age. If your email was made by a parent or guardian, you'll need to ask them to update your information if it's incorrect. Here's how to change your age on YouTube using your iPhone, iPad, Android, or computer.

Updating Your Birthday on YouTube

To update your birthday for YouTube, tap your profile picture in the mobile app. Tap Google Account and navigate to the Personal Info tab. Tap Birthday to add a new birthday, and then save it.

Open the YouTube app. This looks like a white play button in a red box.
- If you aren't already signed into your account, tap Sign in in the top-right corner to do so now.
- Keep in mind the age change will reflect in Google and all other Google services.
You can find this in the bottom-right corner.

This will be underneath your YouTube handle.
This is the tab between Home and Data & privacy.
You can find this under the Basic info header.
Tap the Month, Day, and/or Year fields to input a new birthday.

Tap Save. This is the blue button. Your new birthday will be saved.
- You may not see this option if you have a restricted account or an account made by someone else. In this case, ask your parent, guardian, or admin to change this information for you if it's incorrect.

Go to https://www.youtube.com/ in a web browser. If you aren't already logged into your YouTube account, click Sign in in the top-right corner to do so now.^{[1]

Click your profile picture. This is in the top-right corner.
- A drop-down menu will open.

Click Google Account. This is at the top of the drop-down menu, underneath your YouTube handle.
- You'll be redirected to your Google settings.
You can find this in the left panel.
