How do I know my birth animal?
That depends on the system you’re using! For this quiz, we used our own system based on astrology and the seasonal calendar to match you with an animal a lot like you. Other systems, like the Chinese zodiac, assign animals based on your birth year.

How does the Chinese Zodiac work?
The Chinese Zodiac works on a 12-year cycle. Each year is represented by 1 of 12 animals. Which year you were born determines your animal, and it's said that your animal influences things like personality traits, luck, or fate.
What are spirit animals?
Spirit animals come from Native and Indigenous traditions. Some indigenous nations believe that a person’s spirit animal is a protector that comes to their aid in times of need or uncertainty. Before you start using a spirit animal, though, it’s best to talk to a Native person to learn more about what they are and why they exist. Often, spirit animals are very specific to the particular culture, and it’s important to respect those cultures.
