How can I forget someone?

I had a friend that ended the friendship today. She said she felt like she couldn't respect me anymore. Now... i am angry she did that after everything we have done together and have experienced together. I'm also sad because she was the best friend i've ever had. Are these feelings valid?? Is it rude to feel those things when it was her choice?
