Do you want to share a WhatsApp contact with someone on WhatsApp? Or you may want to share a phone contact from your Android or iPhone with someone on WhatsApp. There's a quick and easy way to share contact information on WhatsApp, even if you're using WhatsApp on your computer. Keep reading to learn all the ways you can share contacts on WhatsApp, including how to find your own WhatsApp QR code.

Share a WhatsApp Contact: Quick Steps

1. Open a chat in the WhatsApp mobile app.
2. Tap the + or paperclip icon.
3. Tap Contacts.
4. Select the WhatsApp contact to share.
5. Select which contact information to share.
6. Tap the Send icon.

Sharing a WhatsApp Contact on iPhone

   Open WhatsApp and tap Chats. This is located at the bottom of your screen, and the icon looks like two speech bubbles.

   • If you want to share a contact from your iPhone's Contacts app on WhatsApp instead, jump down to this method.

   Open a chat. This should be the person with whom you want to share the contact. Simply scroll through your list of chats and tap on their name.

   • You can also share contacts in a group chat.

   Tap +. This is located in the bottom left of your screen.

   Tap Contact. This will appear at the bottom of your screen.

   Tap on the contact that you want to share. Now simply scroll through your contacts list, or search for their name in the top search bar, and tap on their name.

   • If you want to share your contact information, you can tap yourself in the contacts list.

   Tap on any contact info you don’t want to share (optional). If there are multiple pieces of information, such as an email and phone number, you have the option to select which one to send. Simply tap on one of the options to unselect it.

   • If you want to share a contact from your Android's Contacts app on WhatsApp instead, jump down to this method.

   Open a chat. This should be the person with whom you want to share the contact. Simply scroll through your list of chats and tap on their name.

Sharing a WhatsApp Contact on a Computer

   Open the chat you want to share a contact in. If you're using WhatsApp on your computer, you can easily share a contact with any recipient or group chat. Click the chat or recipient you want to share the contact information with in the menu panel to the left.

   . It’s at the bottom of the chat next to the text field where you enter your messages. If you are using the Mac app or the web application, it will be a plus sign. If you are using the Windows app, it will be an icon that resembles a paperclip.

   Click Contact. This will display a list of contacts you can share.

   Select the contact(s) you want to share. You can select more than one contact. This will place a checkmark next to the contacts you select.

   . If you are using the Windows application, tap Share # contacts at the top of the contacts list. “#” is the number of contacts you selected. If you are using the web application or Mac app, click the icon that resembles a paper airplane at the bottom. This will send the contact information over the chat.

   Open the Contacts app on your iPhone. If you need to share a contact that isn’t on WhatsApp, you can do so using the Contacts app. It features a gray icon with an image resembling a person, accompanied by colored tabs on the side.

   Tap the contact you want to share. This will display the contact’s information.

   Tap Share Contact. It’ll be at the bottom of the page. This opens the Sharing menu.
