This wikiHow teaches you how to turn on read receipts for your SMS messages on a Samsung Galaxy. Read receipts will only tell you if the other person has opened your message if they are using the same messaging app and have also enabled read receipts.

How to Tell If Someone Read Your Text on Samsung Galaxy

Open the messages app and tap ⁝.
Click Settings → More Settings → Text messages.
Toggle “Delivery reports” to the On
position.
Tap the back button and select Multimedia messages
Toggle “Delivery reports” to the On
position.
Toggle “Read reports” to the On
position.
