  1. If you can't use the previous methods because you're using an older iPhone, or the password you've saved is incorrect, you can find the Wi-Fi password by logging in to your Wi-Fi router as an admin. You will need to have the admin password for the router to do this, and you'll need to be already connected to the Wi-Fi network. To get your router's IP address:
    • Open your iPhone's Settings.
    • Tap Wi-Fi.
    • Tap the Info icon on the network.

    • If you see a page that warns you that the connection isn't private, go to Advanced > Proceed.
  3. The username and password here are different from what you use for the Wi-Fi network, but you should be able to find them printed on your router, usually on a sticker on the bottom or back.
    • The most common usernames are "admin" or "user," while most default passwords are "password" or "admin". You can also use this helpful guide to find your router password.
    • If you've changed the default router password and don't remember what you've changed it to, you might consider resetting the router.
  4. Each manufacturer, like Netgear or Linksys, has a different page setup, so you'll need to browse around a little. You should be able to find your Wi-Fi network name under "Wireless" in a menu.
  5. Once you find where your Wi-Fi settings are, you should see "Network Name (SSID)" and "Password."
    • If you want to change the password, you can tap in the "Password" field to do so. Remember to tap Save if you've changed the password.
